‘So You Care About Indigenous Scholars?’
After a brainstorming workshop at Stanford University, a series of four posters were created to depict some of the many struggles faced by Indigenous scholars in universities around the world- from ignorance and micro-aggressions, to extractive approaches to Indigenous culture and history. More information about these posters (and free hi-res PDFs for download) can be found here.

Originally published online, ‘DOGS’ summarizes a history of Canada’s colonial settlement of the eastern Arctic, as documented by the Inuit-led Qikiqtani Truth Commission. The report, which synthesized hundreds of oral histories in addition to historic documents, detailed the RCMP’s shooting of thousands of Inuit-owned sled dogs over a period of decades in the 20th Century. The comic was featured on APTN, and is included in Chelsea Vowel’s critically-acclaimed book, Indigenous Writes.
